NEW!! Avon Fundraiser for the 2011 Spring Trip
The HHS Choirs have a new Avon fundraiser which will provide students an opportunity to earn money for the Disney World choir trip to Orlando, Florida, next year. Students may purchase items from Avon, including Mother's Day or Father's Day gifts.
As always, choir fundraisers are optional and not required. Our goal is to provide opportunities for fundraising to those who are interested. If you have any questions about this fundraiser, please contact Philomena Donaldson, who is our Avon Representative and also the Choral Booster parent in charge of this fundraiser.
FUNDRAISER SCHEDULE:
This fundraiser will be open for just over 10 days and we invite any interested students to look at the flyers provided below, as well as the flyer they will be getting at school.
Presentation to students by Ms. Donaldson: April 9 and April 12
Orders due: Wednesday, April 21
Order pickup: After school on Friday, April 30
Checks should be made payable to "HHS Choral Boosters."
FLYERS AND ORDER FORMS:

Ten percent (10%) of sales will go to the Choral Boosters general fund, which helps to support some of the trip costs and related expenses. The balance of 25% to 30% of sales will be credited to the individual students. Total sales will determine the percentage.
We hope this fundraiser is helpful to those who may wish to get a head start on earning money for the Disney World trip.

2009 White House Ornament Fundraiser
THIS FUNDRAISER IS COMPLETED. Special thanks go to Maurean Truncale for all of her efforts organizing the sale, as well as her extra dedication to fulfilling orders. Maurean has provided 3 years of top-notch service on this fundraiser. She did an outstanding job, and those kids who needed the opportunity to sell, were able to do so! Thank you, Maurean!!
The 2009 White House Grover Cleveland Christmas Ornament, pictured here, honors Cleveland, the only person to serve two non-consecutive terms as President of the United States. The ornament features a view of the South lawn and façade of the White House on a winter evening. The bright lights on the Christmas tree, visible from the Oval Room, pay tribute to the first Christmas tree in the White House to have electric lights.
White House ornaments are popular holiday gifts. Each ornament costs just $20.00. For each ornament they sell, students earn credit toward their cost of the spring trip.
A limited number of previous years' ornaments are available for only $5.00 if you also purchase the 2009 ornament! (Previous years' ornaments are $8.00 if purchased separately.)

Sweetz Cheesecakes are served in many fine restaurants and hotel dining rooms. The cakes you sell are the same products in special fundraising sizes.
Cakes keep for several months in the freezer, so encourage customers to order now for Valentines Day and order extras for desserts on special occasions in the spring.

2009 Car Wash Fundraiser Results
The car wash held Saturday, September 19, 2009, at the Reston Sunoco (near Target) was very successful. We had good turnout from the students and lots of support from the community. Our location was excellent and we washed nearly
110 cars!
In addition to the money raised for our scholarship fund, Madrigals and Vocal Jazz will receive ice cream treats for best ticket sales, and Show Choir will get pizza for best turnout to wash cars.
All students received a Herndon Choir lanyard. Door prizes were also awarded. Congratulations to those who won iTunes cards, choir t-shirts, and Robeks gift cards. Thanks to everyone for their support!
